It was developed by Takeru and published by Taito and features a story about four heroes summoned to stop the demon king Ta-Keed from ravaging the kingdom of Forgy. The gameplay lets players control four distinct characters, each with unique abilities and advantages, adding a strategic layer to the experience. The heroes are Samson, a climber who can throw bells and climb walls and ceilings; Kikira, a dragon who can fly briefly, breathe chargeable fire, and has claws for traction on icy surfaces; Gamm, a strong slow golem that can walk on spikes and attack in any direction; and K.O., a fast mouse that can pass through narrow passages, climb walls and ceilings, and attack by dropping bombs. The game features twenty stages divided into thirteen levels, with branching paths and bosses at the end. The first four stages serve as tutorials for each character, and you can switch characters at any time during gameplay. It was directed by Shinichi Yoshimoto, with art by Kiyoshi Utata; the title was praised for enhanced audiovisual quality and the character switching mechanic, and retrospectively it is considered one of the best NES games, with the North American release becoming a rare collector item.
